Diesel Oxidation Catalysts

Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOCs) are devices that reduce diesel emissions by utilizing a chemical process in order to break down pollutants from diesel engines in the exhaust stream, turning them into less harmful components.

DOCs normally have a honeycomb-shaped configuration and are coated in a catalyst designed to trigger a chemical reaction to reduce particulate matter. Our DOC diesel retrofit options are manufactured by Engine Control Systems.

The AZ Purifier and Purimuffler reduce diesel particulate matter by at least 20%, and when combined with a Racor CCV, reduce diesel particulate matter to a verified 40% (other manufacturers' EPA-verified values are 20-26%).

AZ Purifiers and Purimufflers employ an advanced zeolite-containing washcoat and precious metal catalyst, that achieves superior low-temperature performance. With over 800 direct fit designs, the ECS DOCs are cost-effective, diesel retrofit solutions.

AZ Purifiers are installed inline, whereas AZ Purimufflers are installed as a direct fit replacement for the manufacturer's original muffler, meaning less down time and a less-invasive installation.

An emission control system specifically designed for the rugged demands of heavy-duty off-road vehicles, the MINE-X catalytic converter complies with most local regulations that require an exhaust purifier or exhaust scrubber, and will help improve workplace environmental health.

DCL’s MINE-X Catalytic Converter is installed into the vehicle’s exhaust tailpipe with u-clamps or band clamps, and requires no maintenance for the life of the product. The catalytic converter can also be installed as a direct-fit replacement muffler (See the MINE X Catalytic Muffler).

Suitable for the most severe duty applications with high mechanical and thermal durability, the MINE-X Catalytic Converter produces very little back-pressure restriction on the engine and no loss of power, and is ideal for your construction vehicles’ diesel retrofit.

The DZ and EZ diesel oxidation catalysts are supported on a metallic substrate that affords exceptional resistance to vibration and affords the lowest possible exhaust backpressure.

The DZ series was the first diesel purifier in the industry to feature quick release band clamps. This allows the center body to be readily removed for periodic engine-out opacity measurements or for purifilter cleaning. These DZ purifiers are also available with modular add-on DMS and DMXS silencers.

The EZ series offers the same metallic substrate-based catalyst as the DZ purifier, but in an all-welded purifier to afford the most compact size and lower cost emission control system.
